I try not to forget that love is an energy. It’s not a relationship reward or a fairy tale ending or an automatic given. One of the most transformative things that has happened to me with greater maturity is realizing that I can be “in love” —in a frequency of loving exchange and mutual attention—with multiple people, with trees!, with animals, with the Divine spinning energy that is the breath and breadth of it all. And that this energy comes and goes according to how available I am to open and show up for it. I’ve found the hardest person to be in love with and stay in love with is self. But that’s the one to show up for with your bright hunk a burnin love. That’s the fire, the glow, that spreads. Happy Love Day. I hope you feel it clear down to your bones.
